Nag Notifier is a faceless background application. Although it goes into the Extensions folder, it is not an extension. It doesn't patch traps or cause extension conflicts. It is a normal application except it doesn't have an interface and doesn't show up in the application menu (the menu listing all running applications). The purpose of the Nag Notifier is to allow you to be reminded even when Nag is not running. Since the Nag Notifier is installed in the Extensions folder inside the System Folder, it is always running and can launch Nag to remind you when necessary. The Nag Notifier uses the absolute minimum processor time necessary so you don't have to worry that it will degrade the performance of other applications.
